It's amazing how fast one year goes. Ayla Mae Springer turned one on saturday, Feb. 20th. They had a Korean first birthday party. It was so fun to be there to celebrate with Wil and Andrea the one year anniversary of their daughter Ayla. I was asked to take pictures of the event , which was the first time that I was paid to do a hobby I loved. It was a fun afternoon filled with the Korean traditions which were interesting to participate in. There is a table full of fruit, which would represent wealth.

Then they laid objects in front of Ayla, like pen (meaning smart), CD (musician), money (wealth) and string (long life). Then she picks one, Ayla picked the pen, then later she picked the CD. So she will be smart according to Korean tradition.

It was a fun afternoon, celebrating with friends and experience my first paid photography session. Happy Birthday Ayla Mae!
