I can't believe that in the 18 years I have known Kala Post I have never, I mean NEVER, gone to her cabin. Isn't that sad?? Well we finally set a weekend to go! Hallelujah!! It was suppose to be a weekend just for the two of us to hang out and catch up on life. Well, we at least had the first night together before her parents joined. The theme of the weekend was REST!! We both live very busy lives and it was nice to slow down and hang out with our best friend. We went out in the boat, played games, watched a movie, read books, had many cups of coffee, snacked the entire time.
On Saturday Kala's parents arrived before her liking but once the serve storms hit that brought with them tornadoes we were happy they came. It was the first time in a LONG time that it rained the entire day. Luckily we went out on the boat for a while before the storm hit. We were right were all the storms developed and they kept developing throughout the day. We watched a movie and everyone feel asleep to the sound of rain for an afternoon nap.
The next day it was time to go home, so sad. But first we made a stop at Nissawa. We grabbed some coffee and started to head home when we realized that we both had friends working at Trout Lake Camp. We pulled over to decide if we should go or not. We decided why not it's only 40 min out of the way. So we saw are wonderful friends for 15 min and then headed home.
Where we pulled over
It was a wonderful relaxing trip. It was great to hang out with Kala for more than a couple hours.
